Pre-opening Services
Arcturus SMG Canada provided pre-opening services to the City of Kingston for the K-Rock Centre, and continues as the facility operator following its opening in February 2008.
Arcturus SMG staff worked closely with the City to provide operational design review, FF&E procurement and operations planning and implementation for the 5,000 seat facility in Kingston’s downtown.

Pre-opening Services
Arcturus SMG Canada personnel were actively involved in the 10-month design/build process, pre-opening services which included the development of policies & procedures for building operations and finance, and event booking & marketing of the arena for sports & entertainment uses during non-AHL hockey days.
Ricoh Coliseum opened on November 1, 2003, and due to the strength of our company’s management team, the first 90 days of operation boasted multiple events from AHL Hockey, to world-class equestrian competitions, figure skating, concerts, family shows, and a unique conversion to the world’s largest indoor lake, pumping over 1-million gallons of water from Lake Ontario to fill the arena bowl to accommodate the mooring of 50 powerboats and sailboats.

Pre-opening Services
We were engaged by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation to provide pre-opening services to the Brantford Charity Casino, located in Southwestern Ontario.
These services included the planning and implementation of management and operating systems, providing staff training and overseeing the commissioning and opening of the facility.
